Underground Music was founded by Ollie Martin, producer and mix engineer. Filming from front of house for promotional purposes has been popular of late for one of our major clients. Photo shoots are becoming popular and we can give reasonable quotes. Club photography is one of our services which are always high in demand. Underground Music in 2007 reached a new level with business becoming too much for our original team. The level of club photography was astounding which meant that underground music needed to have four working photographers out in Southampton&squot;s clubs each night.

Welcome to underground-music.co.uk. Underground Music are a music based media company that has had a very successful start to its career in the music industry. Underground Music offer web development, photography and music promotion to the music industry, as well as leaving a mark on brighter things to come. Underground Music can offer a full web solution for expanding your potential fan base.
Underground Music was founded by Ollie Martin in June 2006. The first big challenge for Underground Music was to help small bands get recognition through their internet presence. Sooner or later word was passed around and a London based PR company contacted Ollie regarding promotional work for a band named “The Republic Of Loose”. Later on that year the loose proceeded to play a high spot on the bill of oxygen festival in their home country Ireland! The Loose also destroyed the Carling Live tent at Reading Festival in 2007.
2006 was a year which was full of live demo recordings for local bands in the Basingstoke area. All of these were lead by Ollie Martin taking on the role of producer and mix engineer. After receiving high credits for his work he has gone on to study BA Record Production. One of the local bands that recorded a demo with Underground Music were Canterbury. They have now gone on to become popular in their scene and are now supporting major acts on UK gigs and tours.
2007 was a year which was going to place Underground Music in the scene and on the map! Early that year saw Ollie’s live photos for Lostprophets, Enter Shikari and Kt Tunstall all used in promotion by the bands promotion companies and the bands fan clubs. Lostprophets used Ollie’s “Ian Watkins” photo as their main image for the front of their “mega lolz” campaign.
After the success with the “Republic of Loose” contract, Underground Music were asked to help with web promotion for a new artist on the pop scene. Enter Robyn. With her own label and debut album it was always going to be a hit or miss affair so they threw everything at it. Underground Music chucked in some very intense marketing and advertising which was used on her Myspace and website. With a web presence as powerful as it was, spread a phenomenon about the artist. “With every heartbeat” was the song that was released and with our help to push it along its way it reached the top spot of the uk chart. No1!
Our services of photography, music promotion and web editorial & promotion were all flying high, well established and most importantly successful in the modern industry. There has become a consistent demand from bands and individual artists for Underground Music to assist them in reaching out to wider audiences through effective web campaigns.
Over the summer Underground Music attended many UK and European festivals for extensive photography which increased our artist photo database immensely. More and more people were using our photos and recommending us to other soon to be clients. Underground Music has become internationally recognised.
Our biggest current project to date is web editorial and promotion work for dance, drum and bass sensation "Pendulum". Underground Music are tightly tied in with liaising between Pendulums label Warner Records UK and their management company at a professional level, creating and employing effective marketing strategies to promote Pendulum through a carefully balanced media placement and staggered attack spread.
Right now Underground Music are helping European merchandising companies, underground record labels and artists that just want to be heard to the wider communities! The positive influence of Underground Music is being seen across band networks everywhere and our recognition as a music promotion bandwagon is scaling new heights.
