DJ / producer 'Dub Concept' has been playing out in clubs around London and Kent since 2001. Inspired by the 2-Step Garage sound of that era, his productions and remixes bought him a lot of airplay on London-based pirate radio stations.
Born and raised in Gravesend, he was heavily influenced by the likes of Mickey Finn and DJ KG amongst others, and his style soon evolved. Now based in Southampton, he has begun to make a name for himself on the south coast, picking up various residencies including 'Wax' @ Rhino Club.
With a passion for Reggae music, the name 'Dub Concept' evolved from this, and it is apparent not just in his productions, but also his DJ'ing technique and track selection. As a DJ, his style is very dancefloor friendly, playing a rolling, bass-heavy selection fused with elements of Dub, Jazz and Reggae.
