Originally set up in 2003 ‘Mastermind Records’ is a London/South Coast Drum
and Bass Record Label. The label has had five previous releases from men of the
moment 'The Qemists' and 'Vital Elements' who both made their first ever
releases through Mastermind. The label has now been taken on by its new label
boss Verdict alongside his partner Flux and is starting it’s next release in May as
its first. “ As I see it as setting up a completely new company and as there hasn’t
been a release for a few years, I’m going to start this thing off fresh’’. Verdict
Mastermind Management.
Mastermind Records is one to watch out for only pressing carefully selected
tracks from established names and fresh talent in the industry. ‘’We have a love
for a variety of Genres of Drum and Bass. So each release will have a Liquid track
and a Dancefloor track on the flip.’’ With many plans held tightly under wraps.
‘’We have tracks lined up for our next releases but keep your eyes pealed. ‘’ Look
out for future releases from E‐Z Rollers, Heist, Universal Project, Verdict, Heitor
(Brazil), Perfection and remixs from ‘The Qemists’, Basher and Heist to name a
few.
MMR001 release is produced the mighty E‐Z Rollers and is entitled 'Here I Am'.
On this imprint there is also a huge Dancefloor remix by Ram Records star
Basher. This track has had unprecedented support from many artists in the
industry including DJ Hype who has played it week in week out in all his sets
including his Kiss 100 Radio shows. This track is set to be a massive release and
the label intends to keep this level up.
The MMR001 Record Release Party has been organized for Bank Holiday Sun 3rd
May at Rhino Club Southampton. DJ’s on the night – DILLINJA, E‐Z ROLLERS,
SIMON BASSLINE SMITH, BASHER, VERDICT. MC’s: IC3, FLYTE, BENSTA, +
Supports.
