"The gig was sold out long before (and deservedly so), so a quite crowded venue was preassigned. Thus, I decided to turn up at the Brook at time in order to get a good space just in front of the stage (I didn’t expect a press pit and I was right). As no support bands played, I had to wait for two hours till the band finally turned up.
First of all, I was pretty surprised about the lightning conditions: They were far better compared to other, similar, venues through Southampton! And good lightning is generally known the gist for good concert photos… I stayed in front of the stage for 5 songs and moved then to the balcony which was so crowded that I decided to go down again and try to get some telephoto shots from the back of the hall. Even though I got constantly pushed around by the crowd, I managed to get some decent shots. After 10 songs and approximately 250 pictures, I stopped shooting and just enjoyed Alabama3!"
